The romance was definitely not a defining factor, but it was nice to get a little more that peppered in. I loved the will-they-won’t-they between Thalen and Cerulia, so I’m glad to finally get some of that in the finale. Between the various spirits and the allies she met along the way, it was finally time. It was so exciting to see Cerulia reclaim her rightful place on the throne and finally be mature enough to truly fight back against those who tried to silence her. All four books, A Queen in Hiding, The Queen of Raiders, A Broken Queen, and The Cerulean Queen, came out from January through April 2020. ![]() ![]() Her epic fantasy quartet, The Nine Realms, was published by TOR on a rapid publications schedule. It was such a great finale! Book 1 was a bit hard to get into and book 3 was a little slow, but it all came together in a great finale and it was worth the read. She didn’t know then that this leap into creative writing would spark a new career.
